The floor lamp has a problem most designers ignore: the cord. It pins the lamp to the nearest outlet, routes across the floor, and turns a placement decision into a constraint. Pinot Floor solves this issue at the structural level. The metal tube is patented: it doubles as both the physical stem and the electrical conductor, routing power from base to head without a separate wire. The lamp is a circuit. Remove the cord from the equation, and suddenly the lamp can go anywhere a floor exists.

The joint structure allows the lamp to be rotated, detached, and reassembled without tools. Angle the head toward a reading chair. Shorten the stem for a lower corner. Carry it as a single piece from room to room. A floor lamp that moves like a table lamp — without losing any of the height, the presence, or the downward glow it was designed to deliver.

The head height was developed through extensive testing: high enough to light the activity zone below without entering your line of sight and positioned to cast a focused downward glow that doesn't bleed into the ceiling. The narrow base slips into corners without demanding floor space it hasn't earned.
