A detachable handle sits at the top. Remove it and Canelé becomes a lantern on a table, light pooling outward from its ridged body. Attach it, and it becomes something to carry or hang from a branch, a hook, or a tent loop. The same object, two distinct uses. No adaptor required.
The three-stage dimmer moves from a wide ambient glow to a low, close warmth that works when everything else has gone quiet. The metal body diffuses the light across its ridges, so the Canelé glows as a whole, not a single bright point, but a full warm presence.
